The DPA Microphones 4288-DC-F-F10-LH is a cardioid headset mic that's a member of DPA's d:fine 4088 series which features one of the most clear, consistent, and robust miniature microphoness you'll find on the market. It comes with a 120mm (3.9") boom which can accommodate varying applications as well as head sizes, and is colored beige. This particular unit includes DPA's recently-developed CORE technology which adds a little more performance to an already exemplary 4088 lineup. Additionally, this particular unit also comes with a TA4F Mini-XLR adapter (compatible with Shure U1, UR1, UT1, SC1, SLX1, ULX1, TOA WM4300, PGX1, Line 6 XD-V70L), although, like all microphones in the d:fine series, it features a MicroDot connector which enables further versatility/expansion with other 3rd-party systems on the market using the DPA flexible adapter system (additional adapters sold separately – refer to items under the "ACCESSORIES" tab above or contact your Sales Pro for more information).

This mic has a cardioid polar pickup pattern that provides exceptional off-axis rejection in high-SPL situations as well as efficient suppression of distant sound sources, making it ideal for demanding live performance environments where background noise and feedback are concerns.

The mic capsule is a first-order pre-polarized pressure-gradient transducer hidden in a small and lightweight housing. Its sleek, elegant design puts it among the most invisible head-worn cardioid microphones available, and it's mountable on either the right or left side.
