The ETC ETCnomad6144 is part of ETC's ETCnomad line of lighting controller kits, and is the only model that features 6144 outputs, the maximum capacity of outputs for the series.

If you find yourself hopping from gig to gig and can't bring your console with you, or doing the lighting in a venue whose desk has seen better days, ETC's ETCnomad™ control might just be the solution you're looking for. Providing lighting control wherever you want to go, ETCnomad plugs into your computer (sold separately) and opens up the power of both Cobalt® and Eos®/Element™ software, so you can program and run shows anywhere and yet, is small enough to fit on your keychain. You can use it as a primary controller, a backup or a client device - or even work offline - operating on either a PC platform running Microsoft Windows® 7/8, or natively on a Mac (Intel processor) running OS X (Mavericks/Yosemite) (all sold separately).

To output to a system, Eos or Cobalt Nomad lighting software requires an ETCnomad key. When configured as a client, an ETCnomad lighting controller accesses the full output capacity of the connected system. Without the key, ETCnomad only operates offline.

ETC ETCnomad6144 Specifications:

  • Windows personal computer minimum (sold separately) requirements:
    • Intel-based multi-core processor with clock frequency higher than 2.0 GHz (2.5GHz for 6144)
    • Windows 7 or 8 with >5 00 MB free disk space
    • Screen resolution of at least 1280x1024
    • 4 GB of RAM minimum
    • 64 MB video card (Cobalt requires hardware-accelerated OpenGL)
    • RJ-45 Ethernet network adapter (required to communicate with a lighting network, DMX output devices)
    • USB ports for connection of Nomad dongle, accessories
  • Macintosh computer (sold separately) minimum requirements:
    • Intel-based multi-core processor with clock frequency higher than 2.0 GHz (2.5GHz for 6144)
    • OS X Mavericks (10.9) / Yosemite (10.10) with >500 MB free disk space
    • Screen resolution of at least 1280x1024
    • 4 GB of RAM minimum
    • 64 MB Video Card (Cobalt requires hardware accelerated OpenGL)
    • RJ-45 Ethernet network adapter (required to communicate with a lighting network, DMX output devices)

NOTES:
PC Congo® owners can upgrade to ETCnomad lighting control by updating their software to Cobalt version 7.x or newer. No additional hardware is required – the PC Congo dongle will continue
to output to the capacity originally purchased.
PC Congo and Cobalt ETCnomad lighting control keys can be swapped for the new universal ETCnomad lighting key by contacting ETC for an RMA for the old key. Keys must be returned to ETC before
a replacement key will be shipped.
Eos and Congo/Cobalt Software Kits will operate as ETCnomad 256 lighting controllers with no changes.
ETCnomad software (Eos or Cobalt) without a key operates in mirror mode (Eos only) and offline mode (Eos and Cobalt).
ETCnomad is compatible with OSC controllers (sold separately).
Cobalt ETCnomad also supports connection with third-party USB-MIDI panels via Direct MIDI.
ETCnomad software is compatible with Eos or Cobalt Programming Wings (sold separately).
The Universal Fader Wings and the Congo jr Master Playback Wing are not supported on Macintosh computers.
