Lowell RYPS-1A
Powered Relay

OUR PART #  RYPS-1A

Lowell Model RYPS-1A is a powered relay that allows for a wide variety of equipment or devices to be remotely switched on or off using one or multiple low voltage switches (order separately). It’s ideal for applications where there is a need to switch multiple independent high current and/or high voltage circuits from a remote location where only low voltage / low current wiring is practical or cost efficient. The RYPS-1A features a compact (5”L x 3.28”W x 1.688”H) chassis with LED indicators for “Power” and “Relay On”, a three-sided barrier strip with screw connections and wire clamps, a 24 VDC output, and an attached UL Listed power supply with 6-foot cord. The steel chassis is finished in semi-gloss black powder epoxy with holes for screw mounting. Equipment connections are made to the heavy-duty double-pole, double throw (DPDT) relay that has a 5A rating for each contact. One or up to fifteen switches (see diagrams) may be connected to the single pole, single throw (SPST) contact closure that activates the relay. A 24VDC output is also provided which can be utilized for additional non-powered relays (such as Lowell Models RY-2 or RY-4) or other auxiliary devices (250mA max).

Lowell RYPS-1A Features:

  • Powered relay module provides the ability to use remotely located low voltage switches to turn on or off equipment connected to standard high current / high voltage circuits.
  • Two-circuit (DPDT) relay is activated by a single (SPST) contact closure.
  • Features LED indicators for “Power” and “ Relay On”.
  • Compact, enclosed design provides easy installation and protection for the relay and connected components.
  • Use with Lowell remote switch Series RPS or low voltage switches by others. Unit can also be used with Lowell non-powered relay Models RY-2 or RY-4. Order separately.
