E Snake 2 (ES2) provides 8 or 16 channels of digital I/O in a 2 space package with integral power supply. ES2 will accept any two of the same I/O cards that are used in the original E Snake in any combination for 8x0, 0x8, 8x8, 16x0 or 0x16 configuration. Units can be combined for up to 64 digital channels in each direction on a 100Mbs Ethernet network. May be used as standalone units or as expansion to E Snake frames.

ES2 features full remote control of the mic preamps and can be input directly to any digital console that will accept Cobranet or EtherSound protocol.

Preamp gain and phantom power functions may also be controlled directly from Yamaha digital console surfaces , such as the PM5D by using the Whirlwind YHAUSBCBLKIT Yamaha HA to USB interface cable between the control computer and the mixer.
